Jaylynn’s Top 24 of 2015
January 13, 2016
The year 2015 has been filled with new types of music that makes you want to jump out of your seat and dance. Weather you were “hitting the quan” or doing “the dab,” there was always a catchy song to listen to, and sometimes even a cool dance to do along with it. Popular artist in the contemporary R&B genre, The Weeknd, made a couple great hits to jam out and party to, including, “I Can’t Feel My Face,” “The Hills,” and “Often.” Fetty Wap had the entire country bumping to “Trap Queen,” while Wiz Khalifa had our hearts sad with the song “See You Again” ft. Charlie Puth dedicated to Paul Walker.
Pop artists like Taylor swift and Justin Bieber also gave their fair share of creating great music. Many people around the world called Bieber’s 2015 album “Purpose,” favorite songs being “What Do You Mean” and “Love Yourself.” Swift always had a way to get her anger out in songs, and whether or not her new song “Bad Blood” was actually about tension with another pop artist, the lyrics “’Cause baby now we got bad blood/you know it used to be mad love,” were definitely stuck in everyone’s heads. If you were feeling a little sad towards the end of 2015, it was probably thanks to Adele’s song “Hello,” considering it can make even the grim reaper cry.
