On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, the Bel Air Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band performed at assessments at Havre De Grace High School. The band has been practicing all year in order to play for the judges and they showed up and showed out. The bands earned superior ratings and earned a spot in the state competition. The band is lead by director, Ms. Samantha Romero. 

Percussionist Capri Blankenship shared that members really work together to find success. “My favorite part about playing/being in percussion is how all the musical puzzle pieces fit in together and click to make a beautiful piece of art with percussion being the little bow on top that ties it all together.”

The band is now preparing for the state competition in hopes of topping their excellent performance. Wish them luck as they move forward this spring!
