The annual Marching Band Showcase 2022 was held at Bel Air High School on Wednesday October 26. The football stadium was filled with marching bands from high schools all around the county.  Bands came marching in with hats with feathers, special shoes called dinkles, and their school colors.

This event was a showcase for all the high school bands in the county.  The bands play songs they are most confident in.  The Bobcats performed their half time specials, “A Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay and “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic.  Band members got to have fun and enjoy time with people who have similar passions in marching band.

“I enjoyed sitting with my friends and watching other bands” said Julia Beyers, a mellophone player. Another band member, H. Chrysoula Skevakis, flute player, added that they were “ready to play!”.

Overall, the day was spent admiring fellow band members work and passion. Each band represented their school with pride. Everyone there was able to connect and make memories that they can look back on fondly.
