“The teams at States were amazing! We definitely had a big competition and I think that made us work a lot harder to perform a really good routine.” said Madison Humes, a Bel Air Varsity Cheerleader.

There were 23 teams competing. The teams were South River, Liberty, Wootten, Fallston, Northeast, McDonough, Broadneck, Francis Scott Key, Long Reach, Eastern Tech, Quince Orchard, Harford Tech, Perry Hall, Kent Island, Arundel, Damascus, Bel Air, Hereford, Westminster, Chesapeake, Linganore, North Point and C. Milton Wright. The top team in the 1A-2A division was Kent Island. The top 5 teams in the 3A-4A division were Bel Air, Chespeake, C. Milton Wright, North Point, and Linganore.

“We have worked so hard this season! I can’t believe the work we have put into this routine and what we put on the floor during states.” said Grace Lorenz, a Bel Air Varsity Cheerleader.

The Bel Air Varsity cheerleading team placed 5th in the state, which officially ends their fall season. The Cheerleaders will now move onto Winter Cheer. Congrats to the cheerleaders for a great fall season and good luck to all trying out for winter cheer.
