On Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, the Arena Club will be hosting their Kids for Hope Obstacle Course to benefit Cancer LifeNet at the Kaufman Cancer Center.

The Kaufman Center is located on the UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center and utilizes the most advanced cancer therapies, state of the art technology, and enhanced supportive and navigational services. The staff at the center believe that patients who are at ease, rested, and in a nurturing environment will heal faster.  Their mantra is “high quality care, every patient, every encounter, every day.” The Kaufman Center is one of the best in the business with plenty of awards and accreditations to prove it.

The Kaufman Center is accredited as a level one surgery center by the Bariatric Surgery Center Network Accreditation Program of the American College of Surgeons, has had its ICU receive a Beacon Award for Excellence by the American Coalition of Critical-Care Nurses, is recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, and was one of Joint Commission’s 2013 top performers on key quality measures in addition to many other prestigious awards.

The obstacle course challenge will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00, will be open to ages 7 to 18, and will feature cargo nets, rope/ wall climbing, a mud pit, a sand pit, fitness challenges, tunnels, bridges, and more.

Kathy Bradley, whose son is participating, says “This is a really awesome thing of the center and the arena club to do. It’s going to be great fun for my family and the Kaufman Center is going to get more funding, which is just fantastic for the community as a whole.”

The Arena Club is located at 2304 Churchville Road, Bel Air. For more information or to register go to www.uchfoundation.org or call 443-643-3460.
