On Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, the Bel Air High School Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team began their season with a huge 4-0 win over North East High School.

The game began with Junior Andrea Sipos in goal keeping the North East Indians off the scoreboard. In the last 15 minutes, Coach Clemmer put Freshman Shelby Blaker in goal to close out their season opener.

Bel Air showed their offensive strength throughout the game scoring 4 goals, all by different Lady Cats’. Goal scorers for the season opener were Junior Juliana Portera, Senior Captain Kayla Klock, Freshman Lexi Kraemer and Junior Gabby Encarnacion.

Senior defender Morgan Hollenback commented on the team’s first game. “Monday was a great start to our season. I truly believe our team has a lot of potential to do great thing in the 2014 season.”
