On Saturday, October 21 2017, the Bel Air Junior Varsity Cheerleading team competed at the Perry Hall Cheerleading Invitational at Perry Hall High School for their second and final competition of the year.

The girls had quite the morning that day, as they had to be at school by 6:30 A.M. to get hair and makeup done. The bus left at 7 A.M. and the competition started at 10 A.M.

“I was very happy with what we put on the mat on Saturday. We had a few bobbles but nothing terrible. We really showed the audience what we can do and that we can prove to people we are the best team out there.” Said Gabby Pasko, a Junior Varsity Cheerleading captain.

The Bel Air Cheerleaders competed against the teams of Perry Hall, Lansdowne, Edgewood, Dulaney, Hereford, C. Milton Wright, and Parkville. The girls placed third out of 7.

“I know the team did not want to place third. We all wanted to win but we aren’t mad about getting third. I told the girls we win and lose as a team and no matter what we are all winners!” Said Lauren Carbaugh, a Bel Air Junior Varsity Cheerleading captain.

This was the last competition for the JV cheerleaders. Tryouts for winter cheer are November 15th.
