Edgewood Rams Defeat Bobcats in Football

On Thursday, October 19, 2017, The Bel Air Football team took a tough home loss to rising Harford County powerhouse, Edgewood High School by a score of 41-13 at Bobcat Stadium.

The game was tough from the start. Edgewood QB Antwan Banks displayed his athleticism and versatility throughout the whole game. He was able to keep the Bobcat defense guessing and looked incredibly poised throughout the whole game.

For the Bobcats, it was an extremely tough night. The Bobcats were missing one of their captains and emotional leaders, Devin Anderson due to an ankle injury.

Despite these setbacks, the Bobcats were still able to get on the score board at times throughout the night, with Junior Austin Rohlfing throwing a beautiful 80 yard touchdown pass to Ted Zaborowski and running in a QB sneak for 6 more points later on.

“It was frustrating and we certainly did not play our best.” Said Junior Hunter Hruz. “Hopefully we can rebound against another county team in North Harford.”

Hruz had 17 carries for 85 yards. Sincere Montgomery also made a few good offensive plays for Bel Air. However it wasn’t enough to keep the game close.

“We fought hard but it wasn’t enough. We are a better team than what we showed on Thursday and we can bounce back from this tough loss.” Explained Junior Sincere Montgomery.

The Bobcats (3-5) travel to North Harford (4-4) on Friday, October 27, in their final road game of the season. Come make the short trip to Pylesville to watch Bel Air take on another local rival.
