Boys’ Soccer Wins Senior Night on Last Game of the Regular Season

On Monday, October 16, 2017, Bel Air Boys’ Soccer’s regular season ended with a 5-0 win against Aberdeen at home on Senior Night.

All seniors played well that night and Monday night was a good tune up for playoffs. Bel Air has a week of hard training before they begin their post season games on Friday, October 27, 2017.  Bel Air’s first playoff game will be played At Bobcat Stadium against Baltimore County foe, Kenwood High School.

Many people doubted the Bobcats performance but they showed up this year with a regular season record of 9-4. This was enough to give them the second seed going into the playoffs which puts them in a really good position.

“We had a very successful regular season, finishing with 9 wins and 4 loses, after graduating 14 seniors from last season, most thought we would be rebuilding when in fact we aren’t.” Explained Bel Air Boys’ Soccer’s head coach, coach Hoover, “This team is positioned for another deep run in the playoffs and we look forward to the challenge.”

Bel Air finished second in the county behind their arch rival C. Milton Wright.  C. Milton and Bel Air very likely will meet again in the playoffs and the top two teams in the county will have a rematch, this time as they compete for the title of Maryland’s best high school soccer team.

“Although some parts of our season have been frustrating, we did better than most people thought we were going to.” Said senior defender, Josh Munley. “We are ready to make a deep run into the playoffs and are excited for the challenges that lay ahead.”

Come out and support your boys at the Bobcat Stadium on October 27th, in their first game to start off the playoffs against 7th seeded Kenwood!
