Bobcat Wrestling at Bauru

Deajah Dodd

Welcome back and happy New Year’s from our Bobcat wrestling team who brought home 2nd place out of the 15 teams who participated in the Bauru Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Now that the Bauru Tournament is over, we can expect more home games for our wrestling team and just as many wins.

The Bobcats came out with a well-round 2nd place with these individual placings on Thursday:

1st Place:  Brent Lorin, Jacob Reed, Grant Cole, Scott Miser, and Tom Gomez; 2nd Place:  Liam Bowers, and Sam Queen;  3rd Place:  Troy Dureza, David Abboud, and Joe Cirillo; 4th Place:  Jack Brink; 6th Place: Dylan Paul and 7th Place: Zach Alacio.

“We placed 2nd, but we’re in first place in the UCBAC so I think the team is doing a great job,” said Mr. Reddish.

Our Bobcats’ wrestling team new record is 9-2 after the individual matches and tournament.

1st place individual placer Brent Lorin mentioned, “It was a good tournament, so I think that despite that we got 2nd, it showed that as a team that were really strong and I’m looking forward toward the rest of the season.”

Our next match is a Tri Meet, tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 4th, 2017 at Harford Technical High School at 4:00 pm against C Milton Wright High and Harford Tech. Come out and watch our Bobcats pin those guys to the mat. Go Bobcats!!!
