Last year, the Bel Air Bobcats’ Swimming Team ended their season with one loss against C. Milton Wright. This year, the Bel Air Swimming team hopes to turn that one loss to zero.

Some key returning players for this season are Sydney Mika, Drew Gagnon, Becca Entner, Xavier Kane, Rob Powell, Matt Siebold, Madison Clark, Eliza Cohen, and Mady Dougherty.

The Bobcats also picked up many new players including Matt Weaver, Micah Ernst, Aley Trionh, Aleya Kolosey, Sophia Panos, and Hailey Tugya.

“We should be very competitive again this season. We have six seniors leading the team with a very strong junior and sophomore group!” Says Head Coach Mrs. McDonough.

Bel Air did go to regionals last year and played exceptionally well, coming in first place and proceeded to states.

“I’m excited about this season,” Xavier Kane states, “and I think the new players will make a great impact.”

The first official meet will be held on Dec. 7, at 5:45 p.m., at Magnolia Middle School. Come out and support our fellow Bobcats as they begin another exciting season!
