On Tuesday, April 5, the Bel Air Varsity Tennis team traveled to C. Milton Wright for a match. Overall, Bel Air won 6-5. After the win on Tuesday, the teams overall record is now 3-1.

Contributing to the win, the Girls’ Singles swept the Mustangs 3-0. Junior Yasmine Saikali won 6-4 and 6-1. Junior Kirstin Tran also won 6-4 and 6-4. Also adding to the win was Senior Gabby Encarnacion, who won 6-3 and 6-4.

The Boys Doubles kept up the winning and held up their end as well. Douglass Naumann and Jacob Rannie defeated their opponents 6-1 and 10-4. Nick Sulzbach and Evan Kern defeated their opponent for best 2 of 3, with scores of 6-4 and 10-8.

Senior Paige Naumann, was quoted after the match, “It was a great win for our team, and even though it was extremely cold, everyone still managed to have fun and play well.”

The next match for the Varsity Tennis team is on Monday, April 11, at Rising Sun High School. The match begins at 3:30 p.m.
