On March 29, 2016, The Bel Air Bobcats Varsity Tennis Team sprang into action with a 7-4 victory against Aberdeen for their first game of the season.

Yasmine Saikali and Kirstin Tran gave Bel Air a huge win at the first girls’ singles by coming back after losing the first set.

Nick Wong and Donna Ngyuen also helped Bel Air get the win by closing out a tight mixed doubles three-set match.

“I’m really proud of the way our team came together to get the win. Every player contributed to this hard fought win,” said Coach Tyler Restrick.

“The entire team pulled together to give Bel Air its first win of the season, also the first win of first year,” said Head Coach Tyler Restrick.

Jacob Rannie and Douglas Naumann won both of the three boy’s doubles matches and Ally Tran and Jada Lewis won both of the three girl’s double matches.

“We still have a lot of work to do, and my hope is that every player recognizes their potential. If they can do that, we will be very successful,” continued Restrick.

The Bel Air Tennis team will now go against C Milton Wright on April 5 at 3:30 PM and hopefully win their second match. Go Bobcats!
