Bel Air Swim Team Defeats Patterson Mill

On Wednesday, Jan. 20, the Bel Air Swim Team crushed Patterson Mill in an exciting 24-event meet that took place at Edgewood High School.

The swimming Bobcats hustled their way on top with a combined score of 202 points, defeating Patterson Mill with a score of 134. The girls scored 99 points, and the boys scored 103.

The Bobcats won 18 out of the 24 events with many swimmers setting their own personal records.

“Patterson Mill is a strong team and they made us work for every win,” said Coach Ms. McDonough.

The Bel Air Bobcats excelled in their swim skills for the Boys and Girls 50 Yard Free where in both events 3 Bobcat swimmers crossed the finish line before the other 2 remaining Patterson Mill swimmers. Those swimmers are Andrew Sunday, Alex A, Nathaniel Hricz, Eliza Cohen, Elise Riser, and Kristen McDonough.

“It was Senior Night and we said thank you to some great years of swimming to Sierra Kane, Connor Fallace, Kyle Fallace, and Matt McPhee,” Coach Ms. McDonough stated.

Overall, the Bobcats really showed how much their practice pays off and swam a great meet. Nice job, Bobcats!
