Bel Air Swim Teams Faces Challenges at Edgewood Middle School

On Tuesday, Dec. 22, the Bel Air Swim Team took their talents to Edgewood Middle School and won against Patterson Mill, but fell short to C Milton Wright.

The Bel Air Bobcats swam their way to second place with a combined score of 130.00 while C Milton Wright scored 127.00. Individually, the boys had a score of 61.00 and the girls scored 69.00.

Even though the swimming Bobcats came in second overall, they won first place in the Girls 200 Yard Free Relay, the Mixed 200 Yard Free Relay and the Mixed 100 Yard Breast.

“This was the best swim meet we have participated in, for years!” said Ms. McDonough, the Bel Air Swimming Coach.

The top scorers for the boys were Robert Powell, Zachary Hricz, Xavier Kane, Andrew Sunday, Nathaniel Hricz, and Kyle Fallace. The top scorers for the girls were Sydney Mika, Eliza Cohen, Rebecca Entner, Madelynn Dougherty, and Madison Clark.

“Both Patterson Mill and CMW showed us great competition and what it truly means to swim with heart,” stated Coach McDonough.

The Bel Air Swim Team will be facing Edgewood and Fallston on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at Edgewood Middle School. The meet starts at 5:45 so come out and support our Bobcats!
