On Tuesday, Sept. 23, the Bel Air High School Golf Team shot their best score of the season to defeat their opponents.

The team narrowly escaped their match on Tuesday, despite shooting their best combined score of the year (204).  The Bobcats were pushed by the Perryville High School Panthers who shot an outstanding 211.

Bel Air was led by Seniors Kevin Morrissey, Tyler Newton, and Connor Small who shot 39, 40, and 41 respectively.  Newton’s eagle on the second hole provided a huge spark for the Cats’ confidence and moral.

“We did a good job of stepping up and playing as a team today. Even though we did not shoot our best individual scores in some areas, we were better-rounded with our scores,” Coach Doyle said about his team’s ability to shoot such a low score.
