Girls’ Basketball Caps Off 2 Win Week With Buzzer Beater

The Bel Air High School Girls’ Basketball Team played games on back to back nights on Feb. 18 and Feb. 19, 2014 against Aberdeen and Elkton respectively.

Against Aberdeen, the girls had a tough time stopping the Eagles on the offensive end, resulting in a 61-43 loss.  This loss moved the Team to 6-4 in Conference play.

The game against Elkton was on the opposite end of the spectrum.  Bel Air could not be stopped on offense and showed their dominance on the defensive side of the ball.  The Lady Bobcat’s great defense allowed them to control the tempo of the game and put on a show at the offensive end as well. The Lady Bobcats handled the Elks with ease, winning 61-28.

“To my pleasant surprise, we have all grown even closer as the year has gone on!” Coach Skelton stated about his team’s chemistry.
