On Fri., Jan. 17 and Sat., Jan. 18 of 2014, the Wrestling Team wrestled in the Battle of the Bay tournament taken place in St. Michaels on the Eastern Shore.
The ‘Cats had a very successful tournament, coming in second out of 16 teams with a record of 14-4. All the wrestlers who competed in the tournament placed in the top 10 for their weight class. Senior John Cross was voted the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament by the coaches. The Bobcats also had two champions of their weight class, Junior David Reagan and Senior Captain John Cross; they also went undefeated at the tournament.
“All of the team performed well. It’s also awesome to have two champions [David Reagan and John Cross],” stated Coach Reddish. “To come in second overall was really cool because we wrestled some tough competition.”
