On Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, the Lady Bobcat Volleyball Team enjoyed a special night here at Bel Air High School, honoring their 6 seniors before the match began.

Amanda Rodriguez, Celeste Roland, Rien Hachmann, Lexi Malinowski, Sarah Sherba, and Savannah Martel were all recognized for their accomplishments on and off the court over the past 4 years at Bel Air. This would be a night to remember for these seniors, as they were received in front of friends, family, and fellow teammates for the final time at home in the regular season.

The Lady Bobcats hosted the Indians of North East High School for Senior Night, and made sure it was a successful one, sweeping North East in 3 straight sets: 25-6, 25-8 and 25-16. The offensive attack was fittingly led by Senior Captains Celeste Roland, Amanda Rodriguez and Rien Hachmann. These 3 ladies combined for 5 kills, and 18 aces.

Following the 3 set sweep, an emotional Rien Hachmann was proud of her teammates, and her volleyball career here at Bel Air High School, “I can’t believe this was my senior night already. Today was amazing. Something just clicked and everyone was on their game. There was so much love and I couldn’t ask for a better team. And of course Bobcat Nation here to back us up”

The Lady Bobcat Volleyball Team now awaits their draw for the opening game of the 3A State Girls’ Volleyball playoffs. Come support the Girls’ Volleyball Team, Bobcat Nation, as they seek to claim the State Championship title!
