“I’m so proud of my team and how they worked, they left their hearts on the mat,” said Bel Air Varsity Captain Lauren Smith.

There were ten total high schools that competed in the competition. Bel Air, Harford Tech, C. Milton Wright, Patterson Mill, North Harford, Edgewood, and Aberdeen had both varsity and JV teams. Also there was Fallston, Havre de Grace, and Joppatowne who had just varsity teams.

Even though we didn’t come in first place, I think it pulled us together as a team more than anything,” said Bel Air JV Captain Payton Rill.

The top 8 schools from the Regional Tournament will qualify for the State Tournament, which will be held on Saturday, February 6th.
