Sunday December 3, 2017 marks the 28th annual town of Bel Air Christmas parade, a special time in downtown Bel Air where the whole town comes together.

For this special event, there will be a lot of fun things to do within the town including a concert, a parade, and a Christmas tree lighting. In the parade, there will be plenty of cool things to look for including floats, costumes, animals, scouts and of course Santa. Additionally, there will be family favorites such as bands and bonfires that both parents and children can enjoy.

If you want to go out to New York to see the tree lighting but can’t, come to the tree lighting in Bel Air. Of course, it won’t be as big, but it’s in your home town making it feel even more special.

The parade is more for kids and families with all the costumes and animals, so if you have younger siblings or kids, just take them to the parade so they can at least experience it.

“I went with my family when I was little and I always have those memories,” stated Skyler Duffy, a student at Bel Air High School

A lot of people that live in Bel Air have been to the 4th of July parade, but not everyone’s been to the Christmas parade, and it is an even larger celebration considering all the holiday related events taking place around town before starts.

Andrew Linck, a student at Bel Air High School stated, “I use to go to the bonfire, and it was fun just to be playing in Shamrock Park as a kid.”

This is a very good event to take part in with your kids or family to create some holiday memories from their home town, and remember all the holiday stuff you did as a kid.
