Best Buddies Kick off the 2017-2018 School Year

On Wednesday, September 13, 2017 Bel Air’s Best Buddies chapter held an interest meeting to kick off the 2017 to 2018 school year. Students from grades 9 to 12 were in attendance and showed interest in being involved in the club’s activities.

The chapter’s next meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 2:15 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. in Room C220.

The chapters Faculty Advisor, Mrs. Kristin Pollard said following the meeting “All of our new and returning members seem very excited for this year. We have a lot of fun activities planned and can’t wait for a year full of fun.”  

Best Buddies is an international non-profit organization that resides in middle schools, high schools, colleges and places of employment all of the world. Their goal is to promote inclusion and friendship between people with intellectual developmental disabilities and those without them.

Best Buddies is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the physical, economic and social isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual developmental disabilities.

“Come to our next meeting and see what we are all about!” said chapter secretary, Caroline Phelps.
