Bel Air High School welcomes new faculty members to start the 2016-2017 school year.

Mr. Johnson and Dr. Miller are Bel Air High School’s new assistant principals.

Assistant principal, Mr. Johnson, has had years of experience here in Harford County Public Schools, and has high hopes to strive for excellence here at Bel Air High School.

“I spent my first thirteen and a half years in Harford County Public Schools as a mathematics teacher at Joppatowne High School.  I then spent one and a half years working with math teachers in the county to improve critical thinking in classrooms.  Finally, for four years I was at Aberdeen High School, the last three as an Assistant Principal.” says Mr. Johnson. “I always like to strive to a level better than the most recent performance.  Thus, I would like Bel Air High School to achieve even greater things than last year.”

Mr. Johnson goes on to mention what stands out to him the most here at Bel Air High School and the things that he has taken a liking to.

“There are many great qualities to Bel Air High School that are easy to like such as a great facility, motivated students, and a talented staff.” Johnson says. “I would say that the best part of being here is the people that make up the Bel Air High School community. They have made me feel a part of it right from the start.”

Assistant principal, Dr. Miller, has also had many years of experience both in Harford County Public Schools and in another state where she once lived.

When talking about Bel Air High School, Dr. Miller said nothing but good things about the students and staff.

Dr. Miller also goes on to ask the question, “Have you ever heard of the phrase “good to great”? Well, that’s how I see it. I want this school to be even better than it already is.”

Bel Air High School would like to extend a warm welcome to these two amazing new assistant principals! And are very excited to see what they will contribute to the student body and school community.
