Senior Meetings Have Begun

The first Senior meeting for the Class of 2015 was scheduled for Sept. 16, 2014. The meeting was mandatory and it lasted the whole B1 period.

The topics discussed at the meeting were:

Homecoming:

  • Spirit Week – Monday, Sept. 29th to Friday, Oct. 4th
  • Class competitions
  1. Monday – Tie-Dye T-Shirts after school
  2. Tuesday – Scavenger Hunt
  3. Wednesday – Trivia with Mr. Skelton and Mrs. Andrews
  4. Thursday – Chalk the Walk
  • Dress up days
  1. Monday – Decade day ( seniors have the 80s)
  2. Tuesday – Hawaiian day (no grass skirts, coconut bras, or bathing suits)
  3. Wednesday – Tie-Dye shirt day
  4. Thursday – Color day (seniors wear lime green senior shirts that will be distributed in Mr. Smith’s room in B208)
  5. Friday – Blue and White Day (seniors wear togas and crowns)
  • Pep Rally – Friday, October 3rd
  • Dance – Saturday, October 4th &-10 pm in the Gymnasium
  • Homecoming ticket sale for Seniors start Monday, September 22nd
  1. Cost is $20 per student (sold before school and during all lunch periods)
  2. No financial obligations (school or media center)

 

Senior Crowns:

  1. Worn on Friday, October 3rd
  2. Distribution of crowns begins on Monday, September 22nd in Mr. Smith’s room
  3. Contest for crown designs – most original, most class spirit, and best “Hawaiian” theme
  4. Prizes include free prom tickets (1st place), free class trip tickets (2nd place), and free winter and spring senior shirts 93rd place)
  5. A guideline sheet will be handed out when crowns are distributed
  6. Judging takes place Thursday, October 2nd, after school

Fall Fundraiser

  1. Save Around Discount Book Fundraiser
  2. For each book sold, the senior class will receive 410 from the company and the senior will receive $6 off of their prom ticket
  3. Selling dates are October 27th through November 7th
  4. Distribution will be the week of December 8th during homeroom

Secret Senior

  1. Walker is in charge of the secret senior program
  2. Sign-ups begin on Friday, September 19th at & am in room A301
  3. Sign-ups are first come, first serve
  4. Seniors must have a completed contract with them to sign-up

Powder Puff Game

  1. Game is on Monday, November 10th at 6 pm in the stadium
  2. The proceeds are split between the junior and senior classes
    • Cost of admission is $3 per person
  3. Senior girls should listen to morning announcements for information regarding sign-up, jersey purchase, and the informational meeting
  4. Senior boys should listen to the morning announcements for information regarding cheerleader sign-up and the informational meeting
  5. A physical, permission slip, and academic eligibility is needed in order to practice and participate in the game
