Spring Into Season at Home and Garden Show

On Mar. 1 through 2, and on Mar. 7 through the 9, the Spring Maryland Home & Garden Show will be held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $3 for kids ages 6-12, and free for children under 6 years old. Some of the events being presented at the show include landscaped gardens, a petting zoo (on the second weekend of the festival), a craft show, and much, much more.

Local landscape artists will be showing off beautifully designed displays including water exhibits, blossoming flowers, fire pits, and more. The petting zoo will provide families the chance to interact with goats, sheep, bunnies, guinea pigs, etc.

Nicole McFadyen, one of only two female groundskeepers for the Baltimore Orioles, stated, “I will be there to offer tips, tricks, and techniques on growing beautiful and functional grass.”

In the craft section of the show, there will be more than 125 craftsmen there to display and sell handmade creations, such as fine art, home decorations, jewelry, and pottery. In addition to that, there will also be free seminars and consultations there at the show.

McFadyen also stated, “I really look forward to meeting all of the people interested in gardening here at the show.”

The Spring Maryland Home & Garden Show is ideal for anyone interested in connecting with the beauty of nature, or getting a hands-on experience with arts and crafts. Tickets can be purchased online at www.mdhomeandgarden.com/spring.
