On Saturday, Sept. 17, Bel Air Cross Country ran in the Barnhart Invitational at Delaney High School. In a race of over 30 different schools, Bel Air impressively placed 11th for the boys’ team and 9th for girls’ team.
The Boys’ Cross Country Team was led by Junior Kieran McDermott, who finished 2nd of nearly 200 boys with the amazing time of 15:53. Junior Ethan Gray also impressed, finishing 25th with a time of 16:56
The Lady Bobcats were led by Rebekah Cross, who finished 11th with a time of 20:01. Senior Julia Merritt wasn’t too far behind, finishing 59th with a time of 22:28.
Senior Taylor Patrick was excited to see how the Bobcats fared in Delaney, saying, “The team as a whole ran a great race, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of what the season holds!”
Our Bobcat Cross Country team is looking to do even better in the next race, at the Spiked Shoe Invitational at Stevenson, on Saturday, Sept. 24!
