On Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, the Lady Bobcats played the Edgewood Rams here at Bobcat Stadium, winning 10-2.

Off the bat, Bel Air scored three goals against Edgewood. All three goals in the first half were made by Senior Gabby Encarnacion with assists from Senior Rebekah Riley and two from Senior Kenzie Wills.

Starting Senior Keeper Andrea Sipos worked in the goal making eight solid saves, letting in only two goals over the course of the game.

“Wednesday was Senior Night,” commented Head Coach Clemmer on the energy of the game. “It was a very intense game and emotions were high.”

The second half consisted of a rally for the Bobcats with seven goal streak. Senior Gabby Encarnacion started off the second half by scoring her fourth goal of the game with no assist. Senior Jaimie Layfield then scored the fifth goal of the game with assist from Senior Gabby Encarnacion. Junior Ali McSpadden quickly follows scoring another goal with assist from sophomore Lexi Kraemer. Freshman Haley Seabolt, Sophomore Lauren Asher, Sophomore Lexi Kraemer, and Senior Lila O’Bryant continued the streak all scoring goals with no assists.

“For a majority of the game, we minimized the chances we gave up on our goal. Offensively we controlled the flow of the game and took advantage of opportunities,” explained Head Coach Clemmer.

The Bobcats next game is at 3:30 pm at Patterson Mill against the Huskies on Oct. 19, 2015. The game is a blackout! We hope to see plenty of Bel Air supporters wearing black in the stands.
