Girls’ Soccer Exile Patriots

On Monday Sept. 30, The Girls Varsity Soccer team took on the John Carroll Patriots at home at 3:30 p.m. to clinch a 7th win in their overall record improving to 7-1-1.

The Lady Bobcats have been dominate this season,  striking first in most games and relying on their solid defense to shut down any opposing team that threatens their record. On Monday the Bobcats did as expected and took the lead early in a 1-0 score at half, and another goal scored in the second. The goals came from Brooke Tauber and Kayla Klock with assists by captains Jordan Layfield and Caroline Lozzi respectively, ending the match by the sound score of 2-0.

The Lady Bobcats played an incredible game, especially protecting the net Andrea Sipos with 5 saves shutting the Patriots out and recording her 7th win as well showing her ability to play on the Varsity level and doing it quite well.

After the game, Coach Josh Clemmer stated, “Every win helps us to gain confidence. Our team focuses on each game individually with the understanding that we are constantly striving to improve our performance as playoffs draw near.”

The Lady Bobcats are doing well and hope to make an aggressive push toward the playoffs and make a strong run to the coveted state championship.
