On Wednesday, January 10 and Thursday, January 11, 2018, the Boys’ Varsity Basketball team went up against Elkton and Perryville at home for their eighth and ninth games of the season. They were able to take the win in both games beating Elkton with a score of 55-53, and Perryville with a score of 64-28.

First up was Elkton. The Bobcats were coming off a win against Rising Sun, so the team had high hopes. After some great plays from Ray Burrows, Brandon Kestner, Josh Munley and more, they were able to take the win with a score of 55-53, giving them a new record of 2-6.

After their win against Elkton, they went against Perryville at Bel Air. At 6:45 pm, the team began with a strong lead over Perryville. After an exciting game, they were able to take the win over the Panthers with a score of 64-28.

“I am really glad we are starting to win some games. We had a rough start to the season but have been able to take the past few wins”, said Varsity Player, Brandon Kestner.

The team had a rough start to their season after losing the first six games. With a lot of hard work and practice, they have been able to take the wins over the past three opponents, Rising Sun, Elkton, and Perryville, giving them a record of 3-6.

“The team is starting to look really good. I’m glad they have been able to take the win in their past few games”, said Girls’ Varsity Basketball Player, McKenna Reiswig.

Come out and support the team at their next game against Havre De Grace on January 22, 2018 after being rescheduled from the 17th. The game is away at Havre De Grace with Varsity playing at 6:45 pm and Junior Varsity at 5:15. Go Bobcats!
