Boys’ Soccer Triumph Over Fallston Cougars

Bel Air Boys Soccer played strong in their first Chesapeake division matchup, defeating the Fallston Cougars 2-1 Monday, the 24th of September, under the lights of Bobcat Stadium.

The game started out slow with the ball making its way up and down the field with both teams trying to find their rhythm.  Midway through the first half, Fallston’s Senior Jake Kauffman squeezed his way through two bobcat defenders and scored off of a low angle shot giving Fallston a 1-0 lead which they kept into halftime.

Going into the second half, Bobcats were down 1-0, but not ready to give up. Bobcat’s Junior Ethan Lassen dribbled around Fallston’s Goalie in a one on one scenario and found the back of the net which tied the game, making the score 1-1.  Both teams once again found a stalemate until 18 minutes after the Bobcats’ first goal when Senior Captain Arthur Jackson received a sizzling pass from his fellow teammate Emre Sipos which allowed him too powerfully toe-poke it passed Fallston’s goalie once again.

“We had our work cut out for us after conceding an early goal in the first half.” Said junior forward Ethan Lassen. “The whole team worked hard to draw level and I’m very happy I was able to contribute to the team by providing my goal.”

Bel Air (5-1, 1-0) started off their division games strong with this difficult win against Fallston Cougars (4-3, 1-1) and have many more games to come.

“I’m extremely proud to have scored my first career goal in such a big game against such a massive rival.” Explained Senior Captain Arthur Jackson. “we have a big few weeks ahead of us but I’m very glad we were able to start the league season with a win.”

Boys Bobcat Soccer’s next home game is next Wednesday, October 4th, against one of Harford County’s biggest powerhouses, C. Milton Wright.  Wish your boys luck into their upcoming games and come show your support at Bel Air next Wednesday.
