Lady Bobcats Defeat Francis Scott Key Eagles

On Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, our Lady Bobcats traveled to Francis Scott Key High School to face off against the Eagles and won 48-36.

The Bobcats came out shooting, scoring 28 points in the first half compared to the Eagles 15 points. Senior Anna Puntanen led the team, scoring 13 points over the course of the game. After half-time, the girls came out and continued on to score another 20 points just behind Francis Scott Key’s 21. The girls ended the game with a score of 48-36.

“We had a huge first quarter and built a comfortable lead. From there, our defense secured the win. We still struggle at times to be patient and play smart, but we are improving. I give them (the team) a loosely-structured offense with freedom for them to be creative and make plays. The girls like it. As the regular season comes to an end, the girls need to remember to play with absolute effort, but be smart and recognize situations,” shared Head Coach Skelton.

The girls’ next game is at Fallston against Fallston on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 6:45 pm. We hope to see plenty of Bobcats supporters cheering the girls on as the season comes to an end.
