On Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 our Lady Bobcats traveled to Harford Tech to face off against the Cobras and won 43-32.

The team started off shaky, struggling to keep up with Harford Tech. The girls were able to turn the momentum around and tie the game 18-18 as the halftime buzzer went off. Returning for the second half, the girls continued to fight and tied the game once again 32-32 at the end of the third quarter. Senior Anna Puntanen lead the team scoring 14 points over the course of the game. In the last three and a half minutes of the fourth quarter, the Bobcats rallied and scored 11 points to win the game finishing with a final score of 43-32.

“This was one of the best defensive efforts I’ve ever been a part of! Our girls played tough, communicated, and rebounded the ball! Offensively, we shared the ball and played unselfishly. Halftime was a turning point for us. We decided, as a team, to be as mentally and physically tough as we needed to be to win. When we were able to tie the game before halftime, it was a big momentum shift for us in a positive way,” Shared Head Coach Skelton on the nights’ win,

The girls’ next game is at 6:45 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 against Aberdeen High School in the BAHS Gymnasium. We hope to see plenty of fans supporting our Lady ‘Cats from the stands, Go Bobcats!
