On Wed. Dec. 19, the BAHS Wrestling team competed in their first home match against Aberdeen, winning 55-22 against the Eagles.

Senior Captain Dakota Crawford, Senior Tyler Ham, Juniors Scott Miser and Tommy Gomez, Sophomores Zach Alascio and Liam Bowers, and Freshmen Dave Abboud and Brent Lorin all won their matches. Ham had a 16 second pin, the fastest of the day.

Following the match, Coach Reddish said: “It was a great win to start off the conference schedule.  Aberdeen is one of the traditional powers in the state and wrestling them well is always a plus. We are expecting big things. Our goal every year is to win the conference regular season and tournament, qualify for the state duals, and have a strong showing at the individual state tournament. We are a young team this year, and we wish to get better each day. In everything we do, we focus on the right now and work on getting better. If we can do that, the rest will take care of itself.”

Congrats to the team on their win!
