Williams, Hollenback, Higinbothom and Keesey Honored on Girls’ Lax Senior Night

On Monday April 27, 2015 the Lady Bobcats took on the visiting Perry Hall Gators to eventually defeat the Gators with a score of 15-11.

Sophomore Anna Farley led the Bobcats tallying five goals in the match while Junior Bekah Riley and Senior Captain Shannon Williams both added hat tricks to the score. Freshman Julia Henry added two of her own and Sophomore Kami Holt and Senior Captain Sam Keesey both added one. In the net for the Bobcats in the first half, Junior Sydney Matthews tallied six saves while Sophomore Molly Loughlin saved four shots.

“We started off strong and kept our intensity throughout the whole game.” stated Senior Captain Morgan Hollenback. “We played smart and composed against a very good opponent and this was an important win to help gain our confidence back.”

On Tuesday April 28, 2015 the Bobcats hosted the Cobras of Harford Tech and the ‘Cats also honored the four graduating seniors. Katy Higinbothom, Morgan Hollenback, Sam Keesey and Shannon Williams were all honored and escorted by their parents before the opening draw.

The Bobcats came our hard against the Cobras with Shannon Williams leading the team with a total of five goals, one of them marked the 100th goal in Williams’ four years on the Varsity Lacrosse team. Junior Bekah Riley followed Williams with four of her own and Sophomores Anna Farley and Kami Holt and Seniors Katy Higinbothom and Sam Keesey all tallied two goals. Senior Morgan Hollenback ended the scoring by scoring her only on the night to secure the Bobcat win. Sophomore Molly Loughlin tallied three saves on the night and Junior Sydney Matthews tallied two. The ‘Cat defeated the Cobras 18-8 in their last regular season game.

“I’m so thankful to have such an amazing team that made out senior night great!” stated Captain Shannon Williams. “We played like a team and our improvement is obvious, I’m so excited to start playoffs.”

The Bobcats now eagerly wait to get the seeding for playoffs. They end the regular season with a 7-5 record heading into the post-season.
