Bel Air Girls’ Varsity Volleyball team stays undefeated in their division, now holding a record of 7-0. This week they took on the Elton Elks and Harford Tech Cobras. With two more wins, the Lady Bobcats are ready to take on their biggest competition of the year: the Rising Sun Tigers.

On Monday, Sept. 22, the Varsity Girls’ Volleyball Team traveled to Elkton and won the match in 3 sets. The first score was 25-12, following with 25-16, and the third 25-18. Bel Air was led by Taylor White with 6 digs and 11 kills and Kaitlyn Cassaday with six kills and 2 digs. Also stepping up was Kirsten Johnson with 5 kills and 4 aces.

“I’m thankful for all these stats I get, but it’s also credit to our setters Anna and Julie. Playing as a team is truly a key to all our success, communication is just as important,” said opposite hitter Kaitlyn Cassaday.

On Wednesday, Sept. 24, the Varsity Girls’ Volleyball Team hosted Harford Tech High School and defeated them in 3 sets. Bel Air was led by Senior outside hitter Taylor White’s five kills, five digs and four aces. Junior libero Brianna Karayinopulous also contributed 15 digs and five aces in the win.

“With this being our last game before Rising Sun, every practice until then is going to be vital, this is such a critical game for our record, but I definitely think that we can do it,” said Junior opposite hitter Savannah Meyers.

The Bel Air Varsity Girls’ Volleyball team take on the Rising Sun Tigers on Monday, Sept. 29, at Rising Sun, starting at 5 p.m. for a competitive match.
