Track and Field Sprints Past Joppatowne and Aberdeen

On Tue., April 22, 2014, the Bel Air High School Track and Field Team took on inter-county rivals Joppatowne and Aberdeen as the Boys hope to keep their undefeated hopes alive.

Both Girls and Boys picked up a win on Tuesday in a “very difficult meet with a lot of talent,” according to Senior Joe Whilden. The Boys’ Team continues to stay undefeated as they hit the track on the road to states, while the Girls avenged their last loss and continue the winning streak. Both teams look forward to play offs in the upcoming weeks, especially Junior Captain Ethan Brito when he commented, “I think our chances are pretty good at regionals. States is always up in the air but we are certainly capable of achieving it.”

Whilden also said, “We did very well in a difficult meet with some of the county’s top runners, so I think we’ll do pretty good heading into regionals.”

The Bobcats’ last meet of the year will be on April 28, 3:30 P.M, at Bohemia Manor High School where they will take on Elkton and Bo Manor.
