On Fri., Jan. 17, the Bel Air Boys’ Basketball Team improved their record to 5-0 in the Susquehanna Division of the UCBAC after an impressive 94-65 win at Harford Technical High School.
After the Harford Tech Cobras took an early 8-2 lead, the Bobcats bounced back and led 25-15 by the end of the 1st quarter. From this point on, Bel Air began rolling and never looked back. The Bobcats posted a 29 point 2nd quarter to take the lead by 18 at the halftime buzzer.
Leading the offense, Jahari Carmichael put up 22 points and dished 4 assists, while teammates Tom Keller, Kevin Morrissey, and CJ Simmons combined for 44 points.
Following the game J.D. Bruck stated, “I feel confident about our division games. Harford Tech was a good team so now we’ll just keep moving forward and go into the next game with confidence.”
Coach Getz was also impressed by the effort put forth by his Bobcats. “We played a good game tonight,” he said. “Everybody did their job and that’s how it’s supposed to be.”
