Girls’ Soccer Drives on Towards Championship

In the 3rd round of the 2013 Girls’ Varsity Soccer playoffs, the Bel Air Bobcats took on the C.Milton Wright Mustangs at C.Milton Wright High School, Thursday, Oct. 31.

In a much needed win, the Lady Bobcats were able to improve their record to 14-2-1, moving on to the next round in sight of a much craved state championship title. In an intense and physical 1st half, the Mustangs and Bobcats were tied 1-1. The Lady Bobcats were able to step it up and knock in 2 more goals in the 2nd half, with the game ending in a 3-1 win for Bel Air.

The Bobcat goals were scored by Kayla Klock (2) and Natalie Decker (1). Andrea Sipos was able to hold the hold the Mustangs to 1 goal with a total of 7 saves. The Lady Bobcats stellar defense held strong throughout the game.

After the game Coach Joshua Clemmer stated “Our team is playing very well right now. If we can just finish more opportunities on goal, we will have a chance to make a run at the championship.”
