On Wednesday, September 19th the undefeated Bel Air Girls’ Volleyball team took down the Patterson Mill Huskies in the Bobcat Gym, bringing their record to a sterling 6-0. Fans showed their Bobcat Pride by wearing Hawaiian leis for Tropical Wednesday. The gym was packed with fans and the girls played a game that was enjoyable to both play and watch.
Amanda Rodriguez led the attack with 4 kills, 16 assists and 3 aces. Jen Schofield had a great game contributing 9 assists and 3 aces. Celeste Roland, Tia Williams, and Kaila Gonzalez kept the points coming with a total of 18 kills. Consuelo Ezcurra, Sam Liberto, and Lexi Malinowski provided great defense.
The ladies are on an impressive winning streak after defeating Fallston for the first time since 2007. The team is coming together and striving for success in both practice and games. This match was an overall team effort and the huge crowd cheered them on for this unusual, tropical event.
The Girls’ Volleyball team plays Elkton in their next game on Friday the 21st.
