It was a Win-Win Evening

Not only did the girl’s volleyball teams take the win on Dig Pink Night, Tuesday the 18th, they were also able to reach their goal of raising 5,000 dollars to support breast cancer research. With the help of Patterson Mill High, the gym was packed with fans decked out in pink to support the cause.  The gym was decorated with every shade of pink to include the tributes to women battling breast cancer paid by the students of both schools Already excited to play in this game, the Lady Bobcats had an overall great game playing each point as a team. Leading the offense by setting up the attack was Amanda Rodriguez with 15 assists. Alex Williams, Celeste Roland and Tia Williams owned the net with a combined total of 14 kills while Jackie Deluise stuffed two blocks. Outstanding defense was played by Kendall Daley and Madison Bever. Bel Air and Patterson Mill came together not just to play a game, but to play for a cure. It’s nice to see the competitive drive put aside to help a noteworthy cause.  After the final score was set a celebratory picture was taken of the two teams together to stake this great achievement.
