Drama Company Hopes to Trap a Great Performance

The fall play auditions are upon us. October 1st and 3rd begin the fall season with auditions for The Mousetrap, written by Agatha Christie.

The directors of the show, Ben Smith and Chuck Bowden, went back and forth on ideas for what type of play they wanted to do. Mr. Bowden explained, “We wanted to do a murder mystery, we haven’t done that style of a show for 5 years and The Mousetrap is the longest running play in the history of plays. It’s been running continuously for 63 years, so we thought it’s certainly a valuable piece to explore.”

In the past, fall season has been known for two shows and then a musical in the spring. This year it has changed. The directors have  decided to do only one show this fall season because, “the teachers are working to rule and we are contracted to one fall play and one spring play,” said by Mr. Bowden.

The Mousetrap cast list will be up before the first read through which will be held on October 8, 2013.
