Trends for the New Year

Peyton Stinnett

So, the new year has finally rolled in for all of us here at Bel Air High School, and I’m sure we’re all looking back at 2016 and hoping that this year is better than last. From politics, to social issues, to technology causing uproars, 2016 was the year for it all. New Year’s resolutions have been the craze for 2017 with new upcoming trends, and they’re not just sticking to the traditional “lose weight” and “save money” commitments. Every part of the spectrum has been changing. From fashion to political elections, all over the world things are evolving which is something people should be paying more attention to this upcoming year.

Fashion Week has always been the biggest influence for what people wear throughout the seasons ever since it first started. This year and last, fashion has had a bigger impact on people and how everyone sees themselves. Patterns and texture are the next step this year, not even just with clothing, but hair and texture as well.

Almost everyone in the entire world loves to be updated with the latest technology and electronics, whether it’s with the new iOS updates for iPhones or how YouTube has become the standard platform for drone footage, getting the perfect shot for anything the media wants to see. In 2017, Smart Homes is what everyone will want which caters to every generation. It will change the way we live and communication for the next generation. Smart Homes will also create an opening for more creations that can linked throughout the homes in the future.

Politics has been the most talked about topic from the past year and the most influential piece of media and history. Politics all over the world has been a constant rollercoaster, good and bad. In 2017, the decisions that the governments decide to make, in most cases, are a “make or break” situation for certain populations of the world.

This year will without a doubt be one of the most monumental years for the whole world. With new creations and ideas, it will shape our future and hopefully be a good year for everyone!
