A Look Inside Camden Yards

On May 21, 2015, Bel Air High School Journalism students went on a field trip to watch the Baltimore Orioles play against the Mariners at Camden Yards.

Overall, Camden Yards is a very well-built stadium considering how old it is, but at the same time, you might be able to pass it off as a relatively new stadium. For a stadium, the seats are not half bad, and the actual field the players play on has a very clean cut look.

If are you looking for something to eat, you came to the right place. There are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. There is not a place in Camden Yards where food is not in sight. Now while the prices for everything are ridiculously overpriced, the food there is very flavorsome.

Chris Gephardt, a student here at Bel Air High School, stated, “My dad always enjoys going to baseball games there. In fact, he was at the one you guys were at!”

While the game did get delayed due to the rain picking up, they were selling Orioles themed ponchos (which were outrageously overpriced). And when it’s not raining there at the stadium, there is a playground there for all of the kids to play with.

Casey Sims, a Yankee fan, stated, “While the Orioles are clearly not the best team, they actually do have a pretty decent stadium.”

If you a seeking some relaxing entertainment, a nice day at Camden Yards is nothing to shy away from, as this stadium retains that nice old fashioned, but yet modern, baseball feel.
