Chick-Fil-“A Plus”

It was only a few years ago when there were campaigns about whether or not a Chick-Fil-A should be added to the Forest Hill community. But ever since it opened on July 26, 2012, the lines have been to the door and at least three cars deep in the drive-through lines.

Chick-Fil-A is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday. Due to the owners’ religious beliefs, the restaurant is closed on Sunday, which is a lot of peoples’ only problem with them, simply because they would love Chick-Fil-A all seven days a week.

Many tweets are tweeted every Sunday saying things like, ‘I always want Chick-Fil-A the most on Sundays,’ and ‘Chick-Fil-A would be amazing… but its Sunday.’

Some residents of the Forest Hill area felt that building on clear land was unnecessary and would only create chaos, especially being next to an elementary school, but it hasn’t really made a difference.  In fact, people who protested the idea are seeing that the Chick-Fil-A didn’t really change anything in the community. Now, there is just a place that fills everyone’s craving for delicious fries, chicken, milkshakes and many more stupendous items!

Forest Hill resident, LeAnna Campbell says, “At first, I was apprehensive of them building on a nice piece of land, but now I am happy because I get Chick-Fil-A weekly.”

Although there was a protest for Chick-Fil-A, it is now a widely loved restaurant in the Forest Hill area that is always packed.
