Bel Air Bobcats Destroy Overlea Falcons

On Saturday, Sept. 17, the Bel Air Bobcat’s Varsity Football Team defeated the Overlea Falcons 26-0. They remain undefeated heading into conference play.

The Bobcats played tremendously on both sides of the ball, scoring in the air, on the ground, and shutting out the Falcons defensively.

The shutout was led by a tremendous group effort and good tackling that kept the Falcon’s athletes under control.

“It had a lot to do with the week of practice we had.” Says senior team member, Daniel Webber. “We came into the game with the goal of a shutout and we took care of business.”

The Bobcats offense also played a terrific game, scoring their first touchdown in the air when Michael Yetter connected with Jon Scott for the first points of the game. Keegan McHugh and Zach Powell also added two more touchdowns on the ground.

“We played a complete game on offense. We worked a lot on ball security this week in practice and it showed with a zero in the turnover column.” Remarks McHugh, senior player for Bel Air.

The Bobcats begin conference play this week as they travel to Fallston to take on the Cougars, who are also undefeated after three weeks. Come out and support the Bobcats this Friday night, Sept. 23, as they take on one of their biggest conference rivals!
