Football Shuts Out Elkton In Week Two

On Sept. 12, 2014, at 7 p.m., the Bel Air Bobcats took down the Elkton Golden Elks by a crushing score of 42-0.

The Bobcats won the game with an entire team effort. The boys played with a great motivation and everyone on the team contributed to the victory.

The game got underway in the first quarter with a seven yard rushing touchdown led by the Bobcats’ huge offensive line.

Senior Offensive Lineman John Gallina said, “It was a very physical game which was to our advantage. Our defense was shut down and our offensive line had no problem opening up holes for the backs to run through. This is a start to all the potential this team has and I’m confident we can carry it over in the weeks to come.”

The shutdown defensive score was led by Senior Captain Kyle Hamrick, while the secondary was led by Brendan Yetter.

Hamrick commented, “As a team we were really prepared for their pass offense and they simply couldn’t get through our front 8 in the run game. I was proud of how we played and I’m looking forward to Edgewood this week.”

The Bobcats have a tough game coming up this week against an emotionally charged Edgewood team. Come out and support the Bobcats at home at 7 p.m. Go Bobcats!
