On Friday, May 29, 2015, Bel Air High School held a Senior Awards Ceremony in which members of the class of 2015 received scholarships for their academic excellence.

Scholarships were presented to the seniors by over 20 organizations such as the Matthew “Hank” Rutherford Memorial Scholarship Fund, the PTSA, and even the United States Military. Many of the organizations’ founding members such as Bill Kissinger of the Kissinger Financial Scholarship and the Rutherford family were also there in person to present their scholarships to the selected students.

After the organizations presented their scholarships, every department at BAHS presented awards to students who excelled in that field throughout their high school career. In total, the dollar amount of scholarships offered and/or awarded by the various colleges and organizations to the Class of 2015 was over $15,000,000, which is a drastic increase from last year’s $2,000,000 total.
