JHU Showing Hometown Cult Classic Female Trouble

Johanna Hoch

On Friday, Sept. 9 at 8:00 p.m., the JHU Film Society is presenting Female Trouble on 35 mm. The John Hopkins Film Society is a student run film club.

Every year during the spring season, the JHFS holds a 3-day film festival, showing independent filmmaker’s, local filmmaker’s, and student’s work. On the occasion, they select feature films to help viewers appreciate various film styles, while also inspiring them with different methods utilized by the director.

This showing is the first showing since May, when they presented Lords of Dogtown on 35mm. The showing of the John Waters cult classic, Female Trouble, will be held at the Shriver Hall in Baltimore, Maryland.

The film should begin around 8:00 p.m. and end around 10:00 p.m., tickets are $5. If you enjoy John Waters, cult classics, or unique films as a whole, this might just be the perfect Friday night outing for you and your friends.
