On Monday Oct. 5, members of the Bellarion were asked to pick their favorite Halloween themed movie from a list of five separate films.

The list ranged from horror to comedy to family movies, each one being something you would see on television during the month of October. It included 1978’s Halloween, 1993’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, 1966’s It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, 1984’s Ghostbusters, and 1988’s Beetlejuice.

The results are in, and the number one Halloween movie Bobcats chose It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown with nine votes. Coming in with a close second was The Nightmare Before Christmas with seven votes. Third was Ghostbusters with six votes, and finally, there was a tie between Halloween and Beetlejuice with three votes each.

When asked why she chose The Nightmare before Christmas, Mary Talbard replied, “Well, Jack Skellington just really gives me the feels, man. The film shows the importance of being yourself.”

Well Bobcats, if you’re looking to get in the Halloween spirit, be sure to pick up some hot chocolate, your favorite candy, and one of these great flicks!
