Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams’ third studio album ‘Daughter from Hell’ is set to release on July 17 after an official announcement from Abrams on Monday, May 11.
The first single of the album, “Hit the Wall” was made available Thursday, May 14 which Abrams had announced the release of on May 1, exciting many fans for the potential of a new album.
Abrams wrote regarding her album announcement, “Whoa whoa whoa. Freaking Out. I am so ready for it to be yours.” She had teased ‘Daughter from Hell’ on her social media by using the initials of the album (DFH) on social media posts and sharing photos and videos of what fans now presume the recording process of the new album.
‘Daughter from Hell’ was co-produced and co-written by Aaron Dessner who contributed to Abrams’ earlier albums as well. Abrams’ second studio album ‘The Secret of Us’ was released the summer of 2024, spending a full year on the Billboard 200 chart, reaching No. 2 on the US Billboard and No. 1 on the Official UK Albums Chart.
‘Daughter from Hell’ will have sixteen tracks on it, the only confirmed track currently being “Hit the Wall”. However, many fans speculate that various unreleased songs that Abrams’ played at shows on ‘The Secret of Us Tour’ will be featured on the album. It is available to pre-save on streaming platforms and pre-order on Gracie Abrams Official Store as a CD, vinyl, digital album, and cassette.
